I missed my menstruation. It was late. I suspect that I was pregnant — with missed menstruation and the feeling of ‘not right’ at the lower abdomen, especially frequent urination. The bladder seems to be always full, if not easily full and needs to be emptied.

I did not do any pregnancy test to confirm my pregnancy. As the weeks proceed, without my menstruation and with the symptoms getting more obvious, I was convinced that I should be pregnant.

I arranged to see Dr Koh and the pregnancy was positive. I was six weeks pregnant then. Ultrasound scan done and we could hear the heartbeat of the little fetus. The whole family went to the clinic. The children were excited to witness such a scene for the first time.
