Sand used to accumulate on this Dinosaur playground. After a few rounds of rain, the playground soon became mud-filled and ‘stained’ with algae as well. Never in my life had I seen ANY cleaner coming to wash the playground, ANY playground. However, I saw the cleaner washing this playground last week (but not the other one, nearer to the Cannon Ball Tree).
I am very thankful that the Town Council (Sembawang Town Council) had sent someone to wash the dinosaur playground. Though there were nothing much for Isaac to play here, still it is a good place for him to explore the environment. Over here, at this hollow log, below the green dinosaur, Isaac could walk through the hollow log. He was so happy.
Inside this hollow log tunnel, the interior is so filled with ‘graffiti’ as you can see from the photograph above. It is very unsightly. Usually the interior is wet also after rain. For two days, I had brought Isaac here to play. This is the only thing he can do here — walking through the tunnel.
The above photograph shows another short tunnel, just below the orange dinosaur. There is a staircase leading to the dinosaur slide. Isaac loves to climb the stairs, but the slide is very dirty and sandy — it is impossible to slide here. So even though the dinosaur playground is being washed, you can hardly see people playing here. During peak hours (students dismissal from schools), you can see school students playing at the other contemporary playground, and this dinosaur playground is really very ‘cold’, never filled with children ever…
This is a beautiful shot of Isaac and the green dinosaur. Richard carried him onto the log. However, he did not stay there for long. There is really nothing much he can play here besides walking through the two tunnels at this playground…..
