Happy Isaac dining at Macdonald Civic Centre
Mother’s Day is over. This year, Mother’s Day fell on the day 9th May 2o1o — Twenty years ago, on this day, I met my husband, Richard Toh on Vesak Day. Twenty years ago, on this day, it was Vesak Day…. This is a special year. According to the Chinese Zodiac, this is the year of the Tiger….
I found my ministry, I started my ministry, working on my ministry…
On this day, I did not give my mother any gifts. I did not receive any gifts from anybody either. The whole family went to church as usual, as this Mother’s day fell on Sunday. We left home, walked to church. On the way, I saw a cat that looked like “Mary Cat“, she was ‘cleaning’ herself…
Despite the fact that I am not receiving any gifts, I am not unhappy. On the contrary, I have so much JOY in my heart — I have the truth of life, and that I am blessed, and I am going to save my family… and who are my family…
I wanted to write about Respecting the Church, but somehow, I must mention thank Father Terence first. Father Terence at the end of the mass, asked the children to come to the mother. He asked husband to place their hand on the mother’s head. My children surrounded me, my little Isaac in my arm. Richard put his hand on my head and he gave me a little kiss, as instructed… with Joy. Isaac saw everything. Isaac is such a special child, a very special child. He learned to kiss me, he learned to feed me these past few days. On this day, at these moment, when the children and the father had ‘done’ what Father Terence said, Isaac looked at me in my eyes, and he leaned forward to me, KISS ME as well!!! I was so happy… My little Isaac is so thoughtful… The name Isaac means Laughter, and Isaac really got such a nice smile. He likes to smile… This is the greatest reward of a mother — my love for him has at least shown some appreciation back… in surprise!
Isaac is coming to one year old! He is learning to stand…’free stand’. A few times, he had released his hands from objects near him and he was able to stand alone for a few seconds. We were so happy to see him STAND!
