Isaac wearing Ricsson’s spectacle (without lens), sitting on my lap.
Isaac is 8 months old now. At this stage, he can sit more firmly on the ground and can crawl faster now. However, he is still as ‘sticky’ to me as usual and is even more now.
He becomes anxious and upset if I leave him to do some household chores or even go toilet. The book said that this is known as ‘separation anxiety’ and this is an important stage in his social and emotional development. Quoted from baby books: “Baby at this stage gets less relaxed with strangers. At six months, baby may happily smile at anyone and go to them for a cuddle, but at seven months he may be more reluctant, and by eight months you are likely to be his firm favourite to the point where he becomes anxious and upset if you even leave the room.”
He just refused to let anyone carry him at home nor allow me to leave him. It is really a trying time for me. It is tired looking after baby — not enough sleep and lots of work to do.
Basically, he just want to be with me all the time, even when I go to the toilet. He would be very happy when he can even join me in the toilet!

” It is really a trying time for me.” tiring?
